Caitlin Clark was not too pleased with a cameraman’s supposed carelessness during a game this week.
Video went viral of the injured Indiana Fever superstar Clark, who just officially ruled herself out for the season with a lingering groin issue, on the sideline during the team’s game earlier this week against the Phoenix Mercury. Clark, who was in street clothes, was standing just behind the team huddle during a timeout.
At one point in the middle of the timeout, a cameraman walked in front of Clark (in between her and the team huddle). It appeared that the cameraman either brushed Clark or came close to brushing her with his camera.
Clark took offense to that and walked over to the cameraman to tell him off, even touching his camera at one point. The cameraman seemed to be confused and said “What?” and then “I’m sorry” after Clark pointed at his camera. Clark then walked away but took several glances back at the cameraman with an unhappy look on her face.

The two-time WNBA All-Star Clark was right that the cameraman wasn’t closely watching where his gear was and could have created a safety issue there. But some felt that it was an overreaction by Clark since the cameraman did not actually appear to make any significant contact with her there.
Indiana went on to lose the game to Phoenix by a final score of 85-79. Meanwhile, Clark is certainly not afraid of confronting both opponents and referees alike. Now she can add cameramen to that list as well.
