This video of Karl-Anthony Towns and his mother will break your heart
Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, the mother of Karl-Anthony Towns, died due to complications related to the coronavirus, her family announced on Monday.
Karl-Anthony, who was the No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft by the Timberwolves, disclosed last month that both of his parents had tested positive for the virus. He said at the time that his mother’s condition was not doing well and that she was on a ventilator.
She ended up dying at the age of 58.
Karl-Anthony and Jackie were said to be very close. This video of Towns announcing his decision to play college ball at Kentucky shows what their relationship was like.
