Warriors give positive update on DeMarcus Cousins
While we still don’t have an exact date, it’s clear that DeMarcus Cousins is getting close to making his Golden State Warriors debut.
Warriors general manager Bob Myers said Monday that Cousins is “nearing the finish line” on the rehab process and appears likely to be on the court fairly soon.
Myers still doesn’t want to put a return date on when DeMarcus Cousins will be back but he likes the progress Cousins continues to make in rehab. “I think we’re nearing the finish line,” Myers said. Warriors still have extra roster spot to add center via trade or buyout market.

By all accounts, Cousins should be on the floor by the end of January as he works his way back from the Achilles tear he suffered a year ago. It will probably take him some time to get up to speed and integrated into the Golden State system, but the benefit of this fairly early return is the fact that he’ll be at full strength well ahead of the playoffs barring any setbacks.
