The Dallas Mavericks have officially lost their man.
Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports Friday that guard Yogi Ferrell has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings after backing out of his original Mavs deal. Ferrell’s new contract is said to be for two years and $6.2 million.

The 25-year-old Ferrell, who averaged 10.2 points and 2.5 assists in 27.8 minutes per game for the Mavs last season, balked on a deal to re-sign with them that would have paid him $5.3 million over two years.
The saga which unfolded over the last 24 hours or so was rather bizarre, but perhaps Ferrell will now be in line for a bigger role in Sacramento.
