Zion Williamson looks surprisingly slim in new photos

The rumors of Zion Williamson’s girth may have been greatly exaggerated.
The injured Pelicans star returned to New Orleans this week and was seen around town looking surprisingly trim. Williamson apparently attended a local church service and was also spotted at a grocery store. He stopped to take pictures with fans, congregation members, and others.

Williamson’s Hallmark card-looking jacket aside, it seems like he is in pretty decent shape. While the former No. 1 pick still has not played all year, this is a welcome development considering that we had heard several reports about Williamson’s weight allegedly ballooning like crazy. A recent parade float in New Orleans even poked fun at Williamson’s supposed corpulence.
The 21-year-old had been rehabbing on his own away from the Pelicans, so maybe he got in some really good work these last few months. Williamson also recently took a big step towards his return to action, providing hope that the tide could finally be turning for the talented forward.
