Anfernee McLemore shares positive news after horrific injury
Anfernee McLemore shared some positive news on Twitter Saturday after suffering a horrific leg injury during Auburn’s 84-75 loss to South Carolina.
McLemore suffered the injury late in the first half when a teammate fell backwards and landed on his lower leg. The sophomore forward could be heard screaming in agony and had to be taken away on a stretcher.
Later in the day, McLemore said thank you to all those who wished him well via Twitter. He said that despite dislocating his ankle, fracturing his tibia, and tearing ligaments, he should be back in 4-6 months.
Thank you Auburn Family for all the love and support! Doctors said I dislocated my ankle, fractured my tibia, and will need surgery for some torn ligaments. Not to worry, I’ll be back in 4-6 months. War Eagle everybody
