Bill Self weighs in on high schoolers going straight to G League
Highly-rated recruit Darius Bazley became the first player to opt to skip college and go straight to the G League, which could have serious repercussions going forward.
Kansas coach Bill Self is worried — not for college athletics, but for kids who may take that option and have it backfire on them.

One of the big problems with high schoolers jumping directly to the professional ranks were the ones who got bad advice and didn’t get drafted, but couldn’t go to the college ranks after hiring an agent. It was addressed with a one-and-done rule that hasn’t worked great either, so it’s going to be back to the drawing board soon enough.
