Cassius Stanley seemed to hint on Twitter Wednesday that he knew about Bronny James and Zaire Wade’s plans to team up at Sierra Canyon a year before the news was reported.
News came out on Wednesday that James and Wade were planning to transfer to Sierra Canyon for the fall. Stanley, a Duke signee and one of the top recruits in the country who starred on Sierra Canyon’s No. 1 team this season, tweeted the following reaction after the news emerged:

In the tweet, he quoted a previous tweet of his from June 11, 2018. In that previous tweet, he used a finger over the mouth emoji to indicate be quiet, as well as a crown – a nod to King James. That’s probably when he learned Bronny James would be going to Sierra Canyon. That same day a rumor online had spread about James’ plans, though the school shot down the rumor.
By saying “LOL” now, it seemed to be Stanley’s way of saying, “see, I knew about this a while ago.”
Bronny James will be a high school freshman in the fall. Wade will be a senior. Their fathers, LeBron and Dwyane, teamed up twice in their NBA careers, first at Miami and then briefly in Cleveland. Based on what one of his coaches has said, Bronny appears to be the real prize.
