Duke forward Jack White is working on an improbable streak for the Blue Devils.
The junior went 2/5 from the field, scoring four points with five rebounds in Duke’s 77-72 loss to Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. His three misses all came from long range.
Following Tuesday’s misses, White is now 0 for his last 28 three-point attempts. The streak of misses began last month when White went 0/10 on threes in an overtime loss to Syracuse.
Prior to his streak, White had actually shot fairly well on threes, going 22/57 (38.6 percent). Now he’s down to 25.9 percent on the season and really hurting his team with his misses, leading to a much more limited role.
Duke is now 24-4 after losing two of their last three games, all played without Zion Williamson.
