Villanova head coach Jay Wright is hoping for a holy hand in the Final Four.
Wright took to Twitter on Monday to post a picture of Pope Francis holding up two fingers with a Nova logo edited in — the implication being that the Holy Father was flashing the “V” sign and was therefore a Villanova fan.

While the pope’s gesture may have been more of a peace sign in truth, Wright will take it. Villanova’s path to the title game will have to go through fellow No. 1 seed Kansas, and they need all the help they can get. Granted, another Final Four team may have claimed the Catholic base for themselves already.
