Gonzaga’s Kyle Wiltjer is a 3-point shooting machine (Video)
Kyle Wiltjer began his collegiate basketball career at Kentucky before transferring to Gonzaga last year and redshirting for a season. A promising big man who averaged 10.2 points per game during the 2012-2013 season, it appears Wiltjer has spent a lot of time working on his outside shooting while he has been held out of game action.
The 22-year-old junior posted a video on YouTube earlier this week that shows him knocking down 70 of 75 3-pointers in a five-minute span. That’s 93% for those of you who struggle with calculators.
While Wiltjer’s 3-point shooting in practice probably isn’t as impressive as this NBA star’s, he could be poised for a huge season with Gonzaga. At 6-foot-10, Wiltjer can grab rebounds and play down low or stretch the floor with outside shooting. If his success in practice carries over into actual games, he could be one of the most dangerous players in the nation.
