Watch: Michigan State’s Matt McQuaid makes circus shot against Duke
Michigan State senior guard Matt McQuaid seems to have a flair for the dramatic, and you won’t see a better example of that than one of the shots he made in the second half against Duke on Sunday.
In a 56-56 game that kept going back and forth, McQuaid faked like he was going to take a three-pointer and then drove to the basket. It looked like he was a bit out of control and might turn the ball over, but he somehow made a circus shot with his back to the basket to give the Spartans the lead.

You don’t make a play like that without a little luck, and McQuaid’s reaction indicated he realized that. I mean, explain how he got the ball to go in the hoop with his body positioned this way:

If you remember, McQuaid is the same player who knocked down a ridiculously improbable shot against Syracuse during an NCAA Tournament game last year. That’s just part of his game.
