Sister Jean had to revise her scouting report after Nevada comeback

Like almost every person who watched Sunday’s game between Nevada and Cincinnati, Sister Jean believed the Bearcats had punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 and were going to take on Cinderella story Loyola Chicago. Well, Sister Jean now has to adjust her scouting report before Thursday.

Sister Jean, the 98-year-old team chaplain for Loyola Chicago, told ESPN’s Michele Steele on Monday that she started scouting Cincinnati when they had a 20-point lead over Nevada. As we know, Nevada erased that lead and came back to win.

Sr Jean is sending out her team report on the next opponent a little later than usual – she started scouting Cincinnati when they were up 20, but had to change as the lead slipped away.

If anyone can make the appropriate adjustments in time, it’s Sister Jean. She’s a huge college basketball fan who knows more about the game than most of us, though she’s hoping she’s wrong about one important piece of her bracket.

With Nevada having pulled off the upset win, Loyola Chicago has as good of a chance as any Cinderella team in recent history to advance to the Elite Eight. You can bet most fans will be pulling for them, especially if it means seeing more of Sister Jean during March Madness.
