Michigan State coach Tom Izzo was grilled by an ESPN reporter about the Outside the Lines report about the school’s mishandling of allegations of violence against women.
The reporter particularly pressed Izzo on allegations against Travis Walton, a former player and assistant coach who was accused of both assault and rape in two separate cases in 2010. Walton was allowed to travel with the team, and Izzo couldn’t answer why he ultimately left the program.

After the report came out, Walton was placed on leave by the Los Angeles Clippers, who employed him as an assistant coach for their G-league team.
Izzo is going to be under pressure from questions like this until there’s a clear answer to them. For now, he hasn’t given any concrete ones.
