Clippers place Travis Walton on leave after ESPN report
The fallout of ESPN’s investigation into the Michigan State athletics program has hit the NBA.
The Los Angeles Clippers have placed Travis Walton, an assistant coach for their G-League team, on administrative leave. The decision stems from Walton’s appearance in Friday’s ESPN report, which states he was accused of both assault and battery and sexual assault while at Michigan State.

Walton was ultimately cleared and the athletic department quietly pushed the allegations aside.
This is likely only the beginning of the repercussions that will come from the latest probe into Michigan State’s alleged cover-up of sexual assault across their basketball and football programs. It is a scandal that could ultimately end with the downfall of Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo.
