UConn riots after win over Kentucky (Pictures, Videos)
The University of Connecticut has an undergraduate enrollment of around 17,000 people. After the men’s basketball team defeated Kentucky to win a national championship on Monday night, all 17,000 and then some flooded the streets of Storrs and wreaked havoc.
All of the standard riot behavior was covered. There were flipped cars, fires, dudes climbing light posts, and plenty of broken glass. Here are some photos and videos from the night of madness.

One photo that was particularly painful for a UConn alum like myself to look at was that of a trashed student union. This was the scene right outside a Wendy’s restaurant in the state-of-the-art facility, which is still relatively new.

The scariest part for school officials? The women’s basketball team will take on Notre Dame for a national championship on Tuesday night. If the women take care of business, Storrs may not be standing on Wednesday.
