Report: Virginia Tech eyeing Kevin Willard as potential coaching target
The Virginia Tech Hokies appear to be moving quickly to find a new basketball coach after Buzz Williams departed for Texas A&M.
According to college basketball reporter Adam Zagoria, the Hokies have discussed terms with Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard, who the Pirates will try to keep.
Sources say Virginia Tech and Seton Hall have both discussed numbers with Kevin Willard, with one saying it's '50/50' right now.

Willard has led the Pirates to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, and a move to a bigger conference in the ACC would probably hold some appeal for the same reason Williams left Virginia Tech in the first place. It’s worth remembering that he could be angling for a raise from Seton Hall as well.
