Virginia’s Ty Jerome takes funny shot at Mike Francesa during interview
Virginia guard Ty Jerome took a funny shot at radio host Mike Francesa during an interview with him on WFAN Wednesday.
To gain the proper context for the interview, you must first listen to this clip of Francesa telling a caller on his radio show in February that Tony Bennett would never win a championship with this Virginia team.

Fast forward to Monday, and Bennett’s club won the championship, proving all their doubters wrong. Jerome, who is from New Rochelle, New York, went on the radio with Francesa and took a shot at him for not doing enough research about the Cavaliers’ offense.
SO….. Mike reached out to the kid and had him on the show today. And my man Ty did not disappoint. It was subtle, but he got his point across loud and clear. pic.twitter.com/KpCQwBFpgD

Put Francesa’s minute-long rambling afterwards about Virginia’s scoring droughts aside, and that was beautiful.
Jerome scored 16 points in the championship game win over Texas Tech and averaged 13.6 points per game during the season. Winning it all was sweet, but what makes it even sweeter is being able to dunk on all the haters.
