Top Alabama QB recruit enters transfer portal
The exodus of talent from Alabama is continuing following the retirement of coach Nick Saban, with a highly-rated quarterback recruit the latest to enter the transfer portal.
Freshman quarterback Julian Sayin, regarded as the top quarterback in the class of 2024, is entering the portal, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. Sayin, a five-star recruit who was also pursued by the likes of LSU, Ohio State, and Texas, is expected to explore his options.

As one might expect after Saban’s retirement, the Crimson Tide are losing a good amount of talent to other schools. There remains the chance that some, like Sayin, will ultimately be successfully re-recruited by Kalen DeBoer and his staff, but they will not be able to keep everybody.
Sayin, who attended Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, Ca., threw for 2,369 yards, 24 touchdowns and one interception as a high school senior.
