Biff Poggi had awesome gesture after his firing
Being fired by his school still didn’t stop Biff Poggi from being there for his players.
Poggi was fired by Charlotte on Monday amid a 3-7 season. He was in his second year with Charlotte and had gone 6-16, but the 49ers didn’t allow him any more time to turn things around.
Despite being canned, Poggi still showed up to his team’s practice on Tuesday morning. The team’s players came to gather around the 64-year-old.

Though the administration got rid of Poggi, he still loves his team and the coaches. He expressed that sentiment in a post on X Wednesday. In the same post, Poggi said he would be spending time helping Michigan coach Sherrone Moore this weekend.
Love my players at CLT ✅ love my coaches and staff at CLT ✅ love the students at CLT ✅ I will be spending Friday and Saturday with my old friend @Coach_SMoore #goblue

Poggi was an associate head coach at Michigan from 2021-2022 prior to his nearly two-year stint at Charlotte.
Even though he was let go by Charlotte, it’s pretty cool that Poggi still showed up at practice for a goodbye to his players.
