Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema created quite the stir earlier this week when he appeared to do the “Horns Down” hand gesture while shaking hands with Texas coach Charlie Strong. As it turns out, it may not have been intentional.
ESPN noticed that Bielema did the same thing with his hand while speaking to reporters on Monday night before the Texas Bowl. Unless the Razorbacks coach came up with a brilliant way of making people think the “Horns Down” gesture was unintentional, it appears his finger-flexing is simply a nervous twitch.
Arkansas went on to blow the doors off Texas, 31-7. Bielema and his wife probably threw up a different hand gesture after the win, but I’m sure that one was intentional.
