Brian Kelly not concerned about RB Josh Adams’ ankle injury
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was not concerned about the status of his star running back following Saturday’s win over Miami (Ohio).
The Fighting Irish won Saturday 52-17, thanks in part to a huge game from Josh Adams. The junior running back rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries. His carries were limited because of an ankle injury that Kelly says is not serious.
Kelly on Josh Adams: "josh could have played. His ankle was not a serious situation. We didn't want to put him in harms way."

That’s good news for the Irish, which play North Carolina next before a big matchup against USC.
Adams has 658 yards on 73 rushes this season, good for a 9.01 average per carry. He now has four scores after the two touchdowns on Saturday.
