Carson Beck and his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder had their cars stolen this week, and some troubling new details about the incident have emerged.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to a call early Thursday morning after Beck and Cavinder reported that three cars — a Mercedes-Benz AMG, a Lamborghini and a 2025 Land Rover — were stolen from their home. According to a police report that was obtained by Courtney Martinez of WSB-TV in Atlanta, the thieves first broke into the home in order to get the keys to the vehicles.
Two of the suspects who stole the cars jumped over a fence and broke into Cavinder’s Land Rover in order to steal the garage door opener. The group then entered the home through the garage and retrieved the key fobs for the cars. Beck and Cavinder said they were asleep in the home at the time.
The group of thieves left with all three cars but abandoned the Land Rover nearby. Police located that SUV and later Beck’s Mercedes.
Police have arrested a man named Tykwon Deandre Anderson in connection with the case. Anderson allegedly confessed to the crimes and explained to investigators how the vehicles were stolen. Authorities were still searching for the Lamborghini and three other suspects as of Friday afternoon.
Beck’s backpack with two tablets and a laptop was recovered inside one of the vehicles, according to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 South Florida.
Cavinder and her twin sister Haley play basketball for the University of Miami. Hanna is said to have played a significant role in getting Beck to transfer to Miami from Georgia.
The Cavinder twins shared a video on social media last month that showed them both buying cars at a Range Rover dealership. A lot of fans responded to the video with comments insinuating that Beck bought Hanna the car. Hanna responded by mocking those fans.
