DJ Lagway is not exactly reminding Florida fans of Tim Tebow right now.
The Florida Gators quarterback Lagway had a night to forget (and then some) against No. 3-ranked LSU at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. on Saturday. Lagway threw not one, not two, not three, not four, but five interceptions on the game, including a pick-six in the third quarter that effectively ended the Gators’ chances of an upset.

While Lagway did complete 33/49 passes overall for 287 yards and a touchdown, it was tough to look past the stain of the five picks. The Internet, for one, certainly did not do so and hit Lagway with the cruel meme treatment over the nightmare outing.
Take a look at some of the best X posts roasting the sophomore Lagway.

Lagway was already Florida’s starter last season as a freshman, throwing for 1,915 yards with 12 touchdowns to nine interceptions. This season though, Lagway has taken a big step back and is now at five touchdowns to six interceptions through the Gators’ first three games.
LSU is obviously a tough opponent, and Florida’s defense did well enough to keep the team within striking distance for most of the game. But Saturday was largely a day to forget for SEC quarterbacks as Texas star Arch Manning had a brutal performance as well.
