FCS North Dakota State will receive consideration for top 25 poll
North Dakota State may be an FCS school, but that fact does not mean the Bison cannot and should not be ranked among the top college football teams in the country. In fact, the AP sent out a reminder to its voters on Saturday that the Bison are eligible for consideration for the top 25 poll.
ESPN’s Brett McMurphy says the AP sent an email to its voters regarding North Dakota State … after many voters asked about it.

Some writers were talking about the possibility of ranking the Bison in the top 25:
If I had an AP Top 25 vote I'd include North Dakota State in my rankings this week. Bison are one of the 25 best teams in college football.

Such a ranking for the Bison seems deserving. The Bison beat No. 13 Iowa 23-21 on Saturday to improve to 3-0 this year. And although the rankings are only based off of what a team has done in the current season, it’s hard to ignore North Dakota State’s recent success against FBS programs. The Bison are 6-0 against FBS opponents since 2010, which is proof that they don’t just belong with top teams — they’re among them.
