Jim Harbaugh went viral for slick move to avoid Gatorade bath

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh avoiding a Gatorade bath

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh had the biggest Gatorade-logo-shaped target on his back Monday after his team won the National Championship Game at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The Michigan sideline was already celebrating as the Wolverines held a 34-13 lead over Washington with under a minute left.

Harbaugh was just about to embrace graduating senior German Green when his spider senses tingled. The 60-year-old coach showed off his quick reflexes by jumping out of the way as Green became the lone victim of a Gatorade bath.

Michigan’s players aren’t the only ones with quick feet.

However, Harbaugh could only resist the inevitable for so long. His players eventually caught him on his blind side with no left tackle to defend him.

The scene produced one of the coldest photos of the college football season — both literally and figuratively.

Harbaugh ended the season as the king of college football. Whether he sticks around or not remains to be seen.

At least one NFL team is reportedly interested in bringing in the former San Francisco 49ers head coach.
