Josh Shaw – Police responded to call about woman screaming in apartment
As the Josh Shaw narrative continues to go from bad to worse, a number of reports and rumors seem to indicate that the USC cornerback’s injuries stemmed from an incident involving his girlfriend — not a heroic effort to rescue a young family member.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Police Department said Shaw’s name came up in a report filed by officers who received a call when residents of the Orsini Apartments in LA claimed to have heard a woman screaming. Officers went to the apartment where the screams were heard and ended up forcing their way inside, but no one was there.
Witnesses told police they saw a man “scampering across third-floor balconies” and gave a general description of him. A woman who later spoke to police said the description “sounds like my boyfriend, Josh Shaw.” The woman claimed Shaw was out to dinner with some friends.
The LA Times report sounds a lot like a TMZ report we shared with you on Tuesday that indicated police were called after someone spotted a suspicious person “shimmying” down the side of a building in downtown LA. A Twitter rumor that has gotten some play claims Shaw jumped off a third-floor balcony to avoid police after he was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend.
Scott Wolf of the LA Daily News also reported on Tuesday that Shaw’s injuries stem from an incident involving his girlfriend.
Either there are a lot of people who are determined to make Shaw look bad, or his story about rescuing his nephew isn’t true.
