It’s tough to be a punter these days, as Kansas’s Matthew Wyman learned.
Wyman got a high snap and proceeded to chase it down, pick it up, and punt it right into the oncoming Oklahoma State rusher.
Wyman is a kicker by trade and is new to punting, according to KUSports.com, so at least he has some sort of excuse. Still, this is not how it’s done. Given the game situation and context, it’s not as bad as the punt that lost Michigan a game last week, but in terms of pure failure of execution, this might actually beat that one.
