The Louisville Cardinals ball boy who got involved in a fight with Pitt Panthers player had the last laugh after Saturday’s game.
Louisville’s ball boy was trying to do his job during Saturday’s game after a Pittsburgh pick-6, but he got involved in a scuffle with Panthers players (video here). At the time, Pitt was up 17-0 and looked to be heading for a blowout victory.
Ultimately, the Cardinals were the ones who got the last laugh. They came back to win 34-27, and the ball boy, Zephian Wade, made sure to let Pitt know about it. On both X and Instagram, Wade gloated about the victory, as well as the fact that he apparently did get the ball back.

We are not suggesting the Pitt players fired up Louisville by accosting their ball boy. On the other hand, Louisville outscored Pitt 34-10 following that incident, so who knows? It would not be the first time the Panthers have fallen victim to a self-inflicted error.
Saturday’s win moved Louisville to 4-0 on the season. Their first real test will come against Virginia next week, but they are undoubtedly thrilled with how their season has started.
