Watch: Maryland’s Ty Johnson breaks free for 98-yard touchdown return
Maryland kick returner Ty Johnson got to experience a pretty big moment at the Big House on Saturday.
Johnson returned a kickoff 98 yards late in the first quarter of the Terrapins’ game at the Michigan Wolverines, stunning Michigan Stadium and putting Maryland on top on the road.

This is really just pure speed on Johnson’s part coupled with some well-timed blocking. The Wolverines barely even touched him.
Maryland is actually off to a fine start, with a 3-1 record after defeating Minnesota in their Big Ten opener. A win over Michigan would certainly challenge their Week 1 victory over Texas as their biggest moment of the season, but there’s a long way to go.
