Baylor and Texas are competing for a top offensive lineman recruit who is announcing his decision on Friday, which has led to some funny Twitter activity.
Isaiah Hookfin, a four-star lineman from Sugar Land, Texas, moved his decision announcement from Wednesday to Friday.
I will be signing my NLI fr this time tomorrow at 7 in the field house.

Baylor and Texas are said to be at the top of his list. The Longhorns may think they have the inside track based on a tweet from recruiting director Bryan Carrington. He tweeted an emoji that includes a finger over the mouth, as if to say keep quiet.

Many thought that was an allusion to Hookfin telling the Longhorns he would be joining the program, but to keep it quiet for now. Funny enough, Baylor head coach Matt Rhule saw the tweet and retweeted it. Maybe he knows what’s going on and is saying “not so fast.”
Texas has a top-10 recruiting class for 2019, according to 247’s rankings.
