Michigan DL couldn’t believe Florida State got snubbed
Michigan defensive lineman Cam Goode was the latest to weigh in on Florida State’s snubbing from the College Football Playoff.
Goode spoke candidly after Michigan’s 27-20 overtime win over Alabama at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
The 300-pound tackle was sitting by Alabama’s end zone when he told reporters that his team was “shocked” that FSU had been left out of the CFP’s top four.
“We beat Alabama fair and square. … We were more shocked that Florida State didn’t make it. We wasn’t [sic] worried about Bama. I mean, you guys saw the results. We got that dub and that’s all that matters. The roses smell real good,” said Goode.

Florida State players surely wouldn’t disagree with Goode. Some of them hinted at a similar sentiment after Alabama lost to Michigan in overtime.
Florida State was demolished 63-3 by Georgia (and by fans on social media) at the Orange Bowl last week. The winning Georgia squad was the same one Alabama beat in early December to ultimately secure their spot in the College Football Playoff.
However, the FSU team that suited up against Georgia was far from the same ACC championship squad that swept the regular season.
