Florida State was utterly demolished on Saturday, both on the field and on social media.
FSU was embarrassed by Georgia 63-3 in the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The Seminoles’ defense allowed 673 total yards to their opponents, while Florida State’s offense generated nothing more than a second-quarter field goal. FSU was outscored 35-3 in the second quarter alone.

Georgia had 372 yards on the ground despite their leading rusher, running back Kendall Minton, only having 104 yards.
Fans on X showed Florida State about as much mercy as Kirby Smart’s men did on the gridiron.
Some labeled the Seminoles quitters for their virtual no-show on the field against the Bulldogs.
The only takeaway for FSU this year is simple. They quit. They didn't get what they wanted. Then they quit.
FSU can spin this how they like. But they quit. Only quitters quit.
GA did not quit. BAMA did not quit last year.
FSU fans are busy excusing the quit. Very sad

When FSU threatened to not show up at the Orange Bowl, I thought they were kidding.

Others used the Georgia loss to justify FSU’s snubbing from the College Football Playoff.
Florida State was crying bc they didn’t make the playoffs just to not even score a TD against Georgia pic.twitter.com/DjrFi3aIaJ

Surprise surprise
Florida State showing why they had no business in the playoff

The Florida State team that took the field Saturday against Georgia was far from the same team that went undefeated during the regular season.
Just a Reminder …

FSU was already missing star quarterback Jordan Travis. But over two dozen players also sat out the Orange Bowl whether due to opt-outs, injuries, or transfer portal reasons.
To even suggest that this game was reflective of whether or not FSU was deserving of a spot in the CFP playoff is a joke.
