Mother walks out after WR recruit Jacob Copeland picks Florida
The mother of a high school football recruit walked out of her son’s televised announcement on Wednesday after he chose a school that was not to her liking.
Four-star wide receiver Jacob Copeland was choosing between three schools: Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. His mother sitting beside him was wearing an Alabama sweatshirt and Tennessee hat. She had a 66 percent chance of being happy. Instead, Copeland chose the Gators.

This was not an easy decision for Copeland.
Throughout this entire recruiting process I never been as stressed as I am now. I cried and cried all last night about God leading me in the right directions. Now I don’t have over much as a day to decide on a school that’ll change my future after football.

When players choose between schools there are bound to be hurt feelings. It’s just not that often that you see a parent so upset by a child’s decision, though we’ve seen it happen twice before to the same mom.
