New Illinois football uniforms are almost identical to Syracuse
The Illinois football team unveiled some new uniforms on Friday, and they may look awfully familiar to fans from a certain college team in upstate New York.

Let’s just say the Fighting Illini could change their team name to the Orange and no one would know the difference — as in, Syracuse Orange.

Illinois says it was going for a throwback look from the Dick Butkus era.
The jerseys are inspired by the Butkus era #Illini jerseys from the 1960's.
