Report: Nick Bosa will focus on NFL career, not return to Ohio State
Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa has not played since he suffered a groin injury against TCU last month, and he has apparently played his last game with the Buckeyes.
Tim May and Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch reported on Tuesday that Bosa has decided to focus on training for his NFL career once he is cleared to return and does not plan to play for Ohio State again. He met with Urban Meyer and some other members of the Buckeyes staff over the weekend to inform them of his intentions.
Nick’s father, John Bosa, told The Dispatch two weeks ago that any talk about Nick playing for Ohio State again was premature, as he was unsure of when he would be cleared to resume football activities. Bosa underwent surgery to repair a core muscle around a month ago.
Bosa had four sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in three games before suffering the injury. He’s one of the contenders to be the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft, so his decision should not come as a shock.
