Georgia’s Nick Chubb suffers ugly leg injury on first play of game
Georgia running back Nick Chubb, one of the top rushers in the nation, suffered a very severe-looking knee injury during Saturday’s game against Tennessee.
Chubb was headed for the sideline on the very first play from scrimmage when his left leg bent in a gruesomely wrong direction. He was immediately carted off the field as Tennessee trainers held his leg stationary, and the look on Chubb’s face indicated that the pain was as severe as it looked.
According to CBS’s Allie LaForce, Chubb didn’t even make it to the cart:
Chubb collapsed after leaving training table on way to cart and regained consciousness once on cart. Was taken to locker room.

The injury was so graphic that CBS wisely opted not to show any further replays of it. If you are so inclined, click here to see the video, but be warned that it is not for the squeamish.
