Nick Saban bristles at thought of limiting Tua Tagovailoa
Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is a little bit beaten up, and with an easy game against The Citadel on the horizon, there was some thinking that perhaps the Crimson Tide would look to limit the Heisman hopeful’s reps to keep him fresh for bigger challenges to come.
Absolutely not, according to Nick Saban.
The Alabama coach bristled at suggestions that Tagovailoa could be rested just because of the opponent, and clearly took offense to the question during Monday’s press conference.
Given all the hits Tua Tagovailoa has taken, Saban is asked whether he’d consider limiting his reps against Citadel.
"No. No. Why would we do that?” Saban said.

Saban going full Saban here, albeit without the yelling: "I’m not really interested in how you think we should manage our team … just because we’re playing the Citadel."

So that’s a no, then. Tagovailoa suffered a fresh injury last weekend, but Saban obsessively treats every opponent the same. The quarterback will likely get a rest if Alabama jumps out to a huge lead, but no sooner.
