Nick Saban broke out the jokes while hosting his radio show on Thursday night.
Saban was asked whether he knew his former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy would turn into a good commentator. Saban couldn’t help but joke in response.
“He always was a good bulls—–r, so …” Saban said.
The Crimson Tide coach’s answer was met with laughter from those in attendance for the show, according to the Tuscaloosa News’ Cecil Hurt.
McElroy was drafted in the 7th round in 2011 following a highly successful career with the Tide. He bounced around the NFL for a few years before joining the SEC Network in 2014. He’s become a part of ESPN’s college football coverage as an analyst. And now we know Saban saw it coming.
Someone needs to send this to Lane Kiffin to let him know that Saban can joke once in a while since Kiffin seems to think otherwise.
