Texas A&M QB Nick Starkel lands date thanks to help from Twitter
Some of the worst things that happen on the internet would not be possible without the help of Twitter, but Texas A&M quarterback Nick Starkel reminded us this week that social media isn’t all bad.
Over the weekend, Starkel encountered a woman at a diner that he fancied. He apparently didn’t have a chance to speak to her or ask for her phone number, so he took to Twitter for some help tracking her down.
I need some help Aggieland! If anyone knows a girl named Lindsey that works at Hullabaloo Diner, DM me. Hope this works

And, wouldn’t you know it, it worked.

When it comes to romance, Twitter is on fire. Earlier this week, tennis star Genie Bouchard and a young man she made a bet with on Twitter during last year’s Super Bowl were invited to this year’s big game, and it sounds like they plan to attend. Between that and Starkel’s date, perhaps there is hope for social media after all.
