Oklahoma football players address racist alleged SAE frat video
Several Oklahoma football players tweeted on Sunday in response to the video of alleged members of the school’s SAE fraternity singing a despicable racist song.
The song was captured in a video posted to YouTube and featured on the website Total Frat Move. It shows white men and women on a bus, with guys appearing to chant the N-word multiple times.
Here is the video:
The lyrics we could hear included:
There’ll never be a n*gger SAE
There’ll never be a n*gger SAE
You can hang ‘em from a tree, but they’ll never [inaudible] with me…
There’ll never be a n*gger SAE…
A handful of current Sooners football players tweeted in response to the video.
This one from LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo stood out more than the others:
Crazy cause after the games they welcome us through their doors with open arms..

Former Oklahoma DL/current Bucs DL Gerald McCoy:
Ive seen the video "supposedly" from my Alma Mater. Regardless of the school the act is just saddening. But it's the harsh reality of today.

Something has to be done. That's unbelievable. Especially if it's at OU. I pray something is done. Nothing small. Serious consequences.

SAE has already announced on its national website that the Oklahoma chapter has been closed.
That video clip was nothing short of despicable, regardless of who was singing it.
Unfortunately, as we have even seen in the current sports world with defacing a Jackie Robinson statue to gymnast Gabby Douglas being bullied and called a “slave,” there is still, sadly, a lot of racism left.
