Patriots fly Navy to bowl game in their private plane
College football players around the country get some pretty sweet bowl swag this time of year, but it’s hard to imagine any team traveling in style the way the Navy Midshipmen did on Thursday.
Navy will face Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl on New Year’s Eve, and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft let them borrow his team’s official plane for the trip down to Memphis.

The Patriots have had a strong relationship with the Navy football program since Bill Belichick became the head coach in New England, as the coach’s father was a scout and coach for Navy for more than 30 years. That’s a nice gesture from the Pats and will surely be a great experience for the Midshipmen.
