Reggie Bush rips Clay Helton: USC was ‘outcoached’ in bowl loss
Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart were disgusted with what they saw during Friday’s Holiday Bowl on FS1 and let it be known.
The USC Trojans were trounced by the Iowa Hawkeyes 49-24, which led Bush to say on FS1’s postgame show that Clay Helton’s crew was “outcoached.”
“They were outcoached in all phases. Offense, defense and special teams as well,” Bush said.

Iowa entered the game with a superior ranking and record to USC, and then proved with their play on the field how much better they were. To many Iowa fans, the focus should have been on giving some credit to Iowa for winning, rather than on USC for losing. Several Iowa fans/media outlets were bothered by FS1’s USC-slanted coverage:
If FS1 wants to be taken seriously as a national sports outlet, prolly a good idea to have analysts who don't use the terms 'we' and us' when breaking down a game they didn't play in.

Lmao if you wanted to see this complete garbage postgame show where Reggie Bush laments about how bad USC is and there’s extremely reluctant credit given to Iowa here you go pic.twitter.com/QzcLLkJ1en

When you have two former Trojans from the program’s glory days as your analysts, you’re going to get some bias in your coverage. Bush should recognize that Iowa was expected to beat USC, and delivered. As for Leinart, he’s been dissatisfied with the Trojans program for a while.
