Rival coaches joke about attending Michigan’s spring practice
Jim Harbaugh has become such the center of attention in the college football world that now opposing coaches are ganging up on him.
In response to Harbaugh’s brash move of having his Michigan Wolverines hold spring break practices this week in Florida, multiple rival coaches joked about heading over to attend the open workouts.
It all started with this tweet from Arkansas’ Bret Bielema:
After early meetings & lift tomorrow with our players. Thinking about heading to watch an open practice tomorrow at IMG with the staff. #WPS

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio chimed in and joked they could get together for lunch:
Want to do lunch? #V4MSU https://t.co/5Us82hFySk

Even Tennessee’s Butch Jones joined in on the fun:
Mind if I join you guys for lunch? @DantonioMark @BretBielema

You know Harbaugh has to be eating this up. The more opposing coaches are focusing on him rather than themselves, the better. The more headlines he gets and the more he’s the center of attention, the greater the importance Michigan continues to gain in national relevance. That’s always good for recruiting and the general perception that Michigan matters.
Now we’re just waiting to see whether this SEC coach will weigh in.
