Tom Herman’s wife Michelle got into it with a sports commentator over Twitter Monday for some criticism of her husband.
Nick Wright, a former Houston radio personality now with FOX Sports, lobbed this zinger at Herman Monday:
. @CoachTomHerman I'll still do lunch, but I'm worried that you'll pick a place, say it's the best, then go to the nicer one up the street.

Wright was taking a shot at Herman for saying he wasn’t leaving Houston and then ultimately taking the coaching job at Texas. The two have a history, as Wright used to host a morning show on KILT in Houston with John Lopez. Lopez reported in December that Herman had met with Kyle Allen about transferring from Texas A&M to Houston, which the QB ultimately did. Herman blasted the report, then called in for an interview the next day, and declined an invitation from Wright to have lunch.
Apparently there is still bad blood.
Here’s how Herman’s wife Michelle responded to Wright’s tweet Monday:
Worried we pick a place & John brings his annoying lapdog @getnickwright w/him…ohhhh wait ur not w/him anymore #NoWorries #GetOverUs https://t.co/QNsffUSozm

Michelle also got into it with Wright on Twitter over the Kyle Allen report. This was Wright’s response to Herman:
Oh, Mrs. Herman, this is really the wrong play here. I respect the effort, but this is a miscalculation. Congrats on the new job, though. https://t.co/zTyYQXN3Z5

But you are right, I'm not with John. I, also, left for a better job. I, however, did it without lying to kids who put their trust in me. https://t.co/zTyYQXN3Z5

Now that her husband is a head coach at one of the most prominent college football programs in the country, Michelle would be advised to avoid situations like this. Of course, she could keep it up, which would give us plenty of entertainment like her mentor Shelley Meyer occasionally has done.
