TCU quarterback and Heisman hopeful Trevone Boykin left Saturday’s game against Kansas with an ankle injury and did not return.
Boykin suffered the right ankle injury in the first quarter. He played through it for a while, but went to the locker room after the quarter ended. Gary Patterson later said that Boykin was out for the game.

The news means things go from bad to worse for the Horned Frogs. After their surprise loss to Oklahoma State the week before, TCU’s playoff hopes are in tatters, and now they’ll be without their star player for an undetermined amount of time.
