Tua Tagovailoa suffers ankle injury after sack
Tua Tagovailoa appeared to suffer an ankle injury early in Saturday’s SEC Championship Game.
Tagovailoa came up limping after taking a big sack on 2nd-and-goal in the first quarter against Georgia. Replay showed that his left ankle appeared to be bent the wrong way on the sack.

He was intercepted on the goal line on the next play, wiping out a potential scoring chance for Alabama.
As Tagovailoa went off the field following the interception, he was clearly limping. He then went into the medical tent for attention.

The Heisman Trophy leading contender has dealt with a knee injury on and off throughout the season but has not been wearing a brace during recent games. He had his ankle taped up after the sack, according to CBS. He still came out with the offense for their next possession.
The sophomore QB entered the game with 36 touchdown passes, two interceptions and five rushing touchdowns.
