Florida OT Tyler Moore out for season after injuring wrist in a scooter accident
Florida starting offensive tackle Tyler Moore is going to miss the rest of the season with a broken wrist. The Gators already lost starting left tackle DJ Humphries and tackle Chaz Green to injuries earlier in the year, so they are dealing with a very thin offensive line. Considering Moore suffered his injury while riding a scooter, the Florida coaching staff has to be very frustrated.
On Wednesday morning, John C. Cotey of the Tampa Bay Times reported that Moore was in surgery after breaking his arm in a scooter accident. He said the 320-pound lineman lost control of the scooter on a wet sidewalk, which was later confirmed by head coach Will Muschamp.
“Tyler Moore was riding home on a scooter, came around a corner and his back tire slipped out from under him,” Muschamp said, via Bryan Holt of Inside the Gators.
Muschamp also confirmed that the sophomore will miss the remainder of the season.
When will these guys learn? We have already seen a South Carolina quarterback crash his moped while trying to carry a pizza and another player survive a horrifying motorcycle accident that was caught on camera. Prior to that, a Georgia tight end was forced to miss time after injuring his leg on a moped. These dude should either be on four wheels or none. They have way too much to lose.
