USC QB JT Daniels unlikely to play against Arizona State
USC Trojans head coach Clay Helton is making it sound like JT Daniels is unlikely to play against Arizona State this weekend.
Daniels suffered a concussion in the Trojans’ loss to Utah last week. He is still in concussion protocol and “50/50 at best” to play against ASU, according to Helton. Helton even said it’s leaning more toward Daniels “not” playing in the game.
Helton on Daniels: "It’s 50-50 at best if he’s even cleared and it’s probably leaning more toward not, so if he gets cleared, we’ll cross that bridge when it comes. But as of right now, he’s just where he can do routes on air, not even contact."

The bad news doesn’t end there. Backup quarterback Matt Fink has three broken ribs that will sideline him for at least a few weeks, meaning the Trojans are preparing as if third-string QB Jack Sears will start the game.
USC is 4-3 and will host the 3-4 Sun Devils, who have lost four of their last five games.
