Utah Utes quarterback Troy Williams did something pretty awesome in his team’s bowl game on Tuesday.
At the end of his team’s 30-14 win over West Virginia, Williams untied his shoe so that he would have to exit the game. In his place came walk-on quarterback Drew Lisk, who saw his first game action of the season.
Utah senior, and starter last season, took his shoe off so that walk-on Drew Lisk would get the final snaps of the game: https://t.co/mayOWQM4PP #HODBowl ( by @HackettESPN700) pic.twitter.com/tmY1T9g2en

Williams is a two-time team captain, and that selfless play helps to show why.
Lisk, who served as the team’s scout QB all season, was extremely appreciative. He said it was the “coolest act someone’s ever done” for him.
This guy right here is the man!! Coolest act someone’s ever done for me. Love ya 3! https://t.co/qO2UtZVOTS

Williams is a senior, so that was his final act as a Utah player — he gave up his spot so someone else could get into the game. That’s a pretty cool gesture from a guy who lost his starting job this season
